David Forsyth
Managing Director
David founded Benchmark a decade ago utilising more than 20 years of experience in communications. An award-winning former journalist, he has worked at the highest level in PR with a wide variety of clients on issues from crisis management to company launches. David advises on strategic communications and issues for a number of blue-chip organisations at board level. He has been instrumental in delivering the renowned City of Discovery campaign. Clients he has worked with include Compaq (HP), Caradon plc and Scottish Enterprise amongst others. As well as being an ardent Hibs fan, David is also well known for his role managing Hibernian Football Club's external communications. |

Laura Adamson
Account Manager
Laura is an honours graduate from The University of Edinburgh, with an MA in English Language and Literature. Her PR career began in 2000 with one of Scotland’s leading agencies working on a range of consumer clients including John Lewis, Oloroso, McArthurGlen, First Scotland East, See Me… and Edinburgh Rugby. From there she moved into the public sector contributing to marketing and communication campaigns for the in-house team at National Museums Scotland. Here she worked on exhibition openings, event PR, event management and corporate communications in the form of the annual review and re-branding project. A move to Historic Scotland’s Properties in Care division followed where she developed strategic consumer campaigns for major projects, events and Scotland’s built heritage on a local, national and international level.

Pauline Steven
Account Executive
Pauline is a languages graduate with a BA in Applied Languages and Translation from Heriot-Watt University. Starting out as an administrator at a large cross-sector agency, she worked her way up to Account Executive level and assisted on a range of clients including The Famous Grouse, Grampian Country Foods, Forbo Flooring and Reid Furniture as well as assisting on Scottish Government accounts. Excellent organisational and communication skills make Pauline a great team player. Fluent in French and German, she enjoys all aspects of European and world cuisine, language and travel. |
